New and updated attractions
Soarin’ Across America
Opening July 2, Soarin’ Across America is the headline new experience at Disney California Adventure this summer — and it arrives just in time for the park’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Often called “mom’s favourite attraction,” this limited-edition version takes guests on a sweeping helicopter-filmed journey across a dozen iconic US destinations, beginning with the historic Artemis rocket launch.
“It’s a tapestry of our nation,” Disneyland spokesperson Oralia Neria Felix told Travel + Leisure, noting that all footage — save for one drone shot — was captured via helicopter to give guests “the feeling and sense of where you’re at.”
The film will be added to Disney Parks’ rotating library alongside Soarin’ Over California and Soarin’ Across the World, and is expected to run through the end of summer. No end date has been confirmed.
Star Wars: Millennium Falcon — Smuggler’s Run gets a Mandalorian makeover
Over in Galaxy’s Edge on planet Batuu, the beloved opening-day attraction has a fresh mission. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run now features a “choose your own adventure” format, tasking guests with helping the Mandalorian and Grogu collect their bounty. BDX droids have also taken up residence at Black Spire Station, and characters from across multiple Star Wars eras are making special appearances throughout the land.
Bluey’s Best Day Ever
In what marks Disney and BBC Studios’ first-ever theme park collaboration, Bluey’s Best Day Ever has taken over the Fantasyland Theatre. The show invites families to join Bluey, her sister Bingo, and friends for a joyful live experience that has quickly become a highlight of the summer season. After the show, the area around the theatre makes for a perfect pit stop — grab a Mud Cake cold brew and a Pizza Girls baked potato and let the kids roam while you recharge.
Disney Friends Dance Party
Also at Disney California Adventure, the Disney Friends Dance Party at the Disney Theatre brings surprise character appearances and a giant Mickey Mouse disco ball to the party. It’s exactly the kind of spontaneous, all-ages fun that makes a Disneyland visit feel special.
Mickey’s Park Rangers Scavenger Hunt
For the young adventurers in your group, the new Mickey’s Park Rangers Scavenger Hunt is a 36-page activity book packed with puzzles, games, and challenges. Kids zoom through the Rivers of America collecting stamps, with the chance to earn a coveted Master Ranger sticker prize at the end.
The Finale Collection — take home a piece of history
No Disneyland visit is complete without a trip to the gift shop, and this summer’s Finale Collection is one worth shopping. Launched to mark the closing chapter of the 70th Anniversary celebration, the collection is built around shades of purple and lavender — a nod to the signature twilight sky that settles over the park just before the fireworks begin, twinkling like pixie dust above the castle.
Standout pieces include Swarovski crystal-adorned Mickey ears, a limited-edition purse, and a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse hat that catches and scatters light with every movement. These are the kinds of pieces designed to be kept — heirlooms of a once-in-a-lifetime milestone celebration.
